Arkansas Platinum Diamondettes (APD) is a traveling, competitive and non-competitive, trophy award winning majorette dance team.
Arkansas Platinum Diamondettes was founded by Lakin McTyer (aka Coach Mac) and Stacie Tucker in the summer of 2015. With love for their young children and teens, passion for marching band and inspiration that came from dancing, they started a program centered around Jacksonville, Little Rock, Lonoke, North Little Rock, Maumelle & Sherwood, AR areas for youth ages 5-17.
APD focus on marching band and dance line techniques performed by the (HBCU) Historically Black Colleges/ Universities and Community Majorette Dance Battles. The team also performs such styles such as Ballet, Dunham Technique, Jazz and Hip Hop.
APD is not only a competitive dance team, they also perform at community events, volunteer productions, fashion shows, sporting events, parades, birthday parties, charity events, and showcases.
Our goal is to keep our girls focus on dancing, education, mentorship and staying out of trouble. Our motto is always act like a lady but dance like a beast!
